A memorial you can carry with you, every day.

This patch honors the U.S. Memorial in Wereth, Belgium, dedicated to the eleven Black American soldiers of the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion who were captured and killed near the village on December 17, 1944, during the opening days of the Battle of the Bulge. Separated from their unit in fierce, freezing combat, the men were sheltered briefly by the Langer family before being betrayed and captured by the 1st SS Panzer Division.

Their bodies were not discovered until the area was liberated nearly two months later, and for decades their story remained largely unknown. Today, the memorial in Wereth stands as a solemn reminder of their sacrifice — a symbol of courage, compassion, and the power of remembrance to carry a story forward.

"They may be gone, but they will never be forgotten." — Wereth 11
